I honestly thought they were gonna bust out two CC style songs to get their credibility back. But I don’t know what these are supposed to be.

A Band to Forget sadly

Boy oh boy. It's an improvement on the production side of things but all signs point to this being an even bigger disaster than YW.
Also "Vol. 1" please have mercy on me

Are they just trying to be as cringy as possible or what I don't get it
|

i just do not understand what the fuck happened
just absolutely atrocious but at least they fixed the production? lmao

Not even sure about that. The mix on Make it Make Sense is pretty bad.....
I don't know why they seem so committed to being bad now. LeBron is the worst Four Years Strong song, Make It Make Sense is just boring octane-core

These guys fell off when Separate dropped for me. Hating on FYS cuz they did this sound better and more tastefully was wack as hell. The rest of the record paled to previous outputs too

Are the opening lyrics of the record (“You want it? / You fucking got it / Blast ‘em”) on ‘Make It Make Sense’ as on-the-nose as they seem?
“Everybody in our comments is talking about how we don’t write heavy music anymore. Alright – you got it. That was the vibe. And then it’s our version of having a shitty day, people bringing you down. Most days, I can take the higher path in life, but this song is about being over it for the day, and that rain cloud following you around. Our version of [Limp Bizkit‘s] ‘Break Stuff’, essentially!”

What's with all these grown adults being upset about what a bunch of keyboard warrior nerds on the internet say in their comment sections. People wouldn't be making negative comments anyways if your music didn't suck so bad

Don't think I've ever seen a band drop off this hard before tbh.

Omg the song back story is so cringe lmfaoooo. These guys have hardly been heavy their whole career

"Make It Make Sense" is pretty inoffensive nu-metal worship whereas "LeBron" literally just sounds like a cross between "Life @ 11" and "We Got This" from previous albums. In other words, it's far better than anything off whalecum but that's hardly a hard bar to clear.

i get making a bad album but i do not get releasing all these defensive ass singles in response to the reception of that album (and if were being honest, prob pressuring them to kick the bassist out of the band too lmao).
sonically they are a huge improvement (relatively speaking) but the vibe is completely rotten.

That's a great point Alex.
Ever since Bad Vibrations, these guys have been stunlocked in this really weird cycle of "intentionally" releasing stuff that they know will rile their fanbase, then acting all pissy when the fanbase is riled up.
You're Welcome was so egregious because of the absurd wait and mishandling of allegations sent their way. To follow it up with such hostile singles is extremely cringe
