I actually think Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is becoming my favourite Sabbath. I listen to it more than any other Sabbath album these days.

Åkerfeldt said that Ritchie Blackmore’s ending riff to ‘Perfect Strangers’ by Deep Purple was among his favorite guitar licks ever. However, he stipulated, “It 100% must be a Ritchie Blackmore riff… I could do all Blackmore riffs to be honest.”
Åkerfeldt also cited Morbid Angel as being among the kings of the riff: “I love ‘Where The Slime Live’… All those riffs on the ‘Domination’ record… every Morbid Angel riff ever written.”
Judas Priest ‘Victim Of Changes’ finished off Åkerfeldt’s list. “It’s one of my favorite riffs,” he explained.
