ahklys aren't really in that angular dissonant camp i dont think.. although they're similar to recent Blut Aus Nord. they aren't really trying to cut shapes or angles instrumentally, it's all very drawn out and cinematic, more about atmosphere and feel (building a sense of dread, fear etc). they stick in a minor key but their music isn't that dissonant either. and they lean into ambient stuff way more than those bands

I like the classics, the tenth sub level of suicide, rain upon the impure, the work which transforms god.. then there are bands like gnaw their tongues or utarm, not straight up bm but I find them to do the job the best
