Yeah, that isn't a fair comparison at all. You're comparing very different genres. Going by that logic, I can't really enjoy any quieter music because I have listened to album much heavier. Doesn't take into account at all what those approaches can succeed in individually.

lol But @Mars, I get that. I just feel like this is taking all these influences from these rich, monolithic genres like bm, post-metal, post-rock, hardcore, etc, and doing something that, to me, feels kinda milquetoast with it. In a lot of ways, it lacks the atmosphere I would want from it.

most black metal does suck i would agree, have you guys heard the new Etheral Shroud single? they are one of the better black metal bands out there with a more unique sound. also it's a sputnik user.
