After 3 listens I didn't think I would bother with it any more. Glad I gave it another shot. It's a real grower of an album. Must've listened about 30 times through the album now and I can comfortably say this is my favourite Protest the Hero album. Absolute masterpiece.

This album being great makes me incredibly happy. Volition was a total letdown for me. Listening to Palimpset gives me almost the same feeling Fortress did back then.

Reverie is such a jam. Great lyrics, too.

Such a weird album, how there can be so much happening and still be boring.

The chorus to "The Fireside" is so bad, christ. How is this the same band that wrote those hooks on the first two albums.

Someone said The Fireside chorus is bad.....you need to return those ears you got my friend. They ain't working properly. That chorus is one of the best on the album and one of the best they've ever written hands down. Pretty much every chorus on this album is next level.
