the repentant, humble tone of the song is such a nice counterpoint to the rest of the album
its just a gorgeous song through and through

Killers have always been my favorite song off here, first come first serve. go figure! Fuckin' a Prodigal Son ( an awesome acoustic bit on there too) Murder in the rue morgue? Love the Poe knock. Not to mention the excellent instrumental tracks on here as well.. as a die-hard Bruce fan I can't even look away from that.. some of their finest.
I feel like I've been part of 30+ year club of listening to Iron Maiden..walking into the sixth grade with a killers tee on.. ha ha, which drugs are you on? (d) all of the above! haha
Been watching this documentary from BBC on youtube and if you're like me with nothing better to do with your time... check it out.. wonderful! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmceqLZqvPY
I have no one, I'm bound to destroy all this greed
A voice inside me, compelling to satisfy me! Fuckin' classic man.

Hear you Jeff, My first IM listen was Killers, about 5th grade, I think Powerslave came out very close to that time, and had that and Live right around then, first band shirt was Somewhere in time, in 6th grade
Still think the 2 Di'Anno releases are top 3-4 IM

Ah nostalgia. My first album I bought was in 1983, I was 11 years old. I saw a classmate in 6th grade wearing an Iron Maiden Killers black, evil, t-shirt. Was the coolest thing I had ever seen. So I went to Mainstream record and tapes and purchased Iron Maiden Piece Of Mind. I had to turn the album cover upside down when I went to bed because I was so scared of the artwork. This is how it all began...

@Titan, ha ha... Oh yeah!
Luckily I was able to scoff all the good 'evil' music from my older brother back in the day.
Lol, I was sixteen years old and one of the first tattoos I got was Eddie next to a burning cauldron (parents wanted to kill me for that, I had to cover it up school all of the time, lot different back then)
@Wham that's awesome dude, rockin' the tees.. great stuff I had quite a few.. I'm not sure where I put Killers.. great record.
@Teamster 1983!? Oh man, that sounds all so familiar to me, that's exactly how I was launched onto Maiden I couldn't escape the artwork .. it sucked me right in.. rest is indeed history my friend.
Sorry folks forgive my terrible formatting I'm finally able to respond to ya'll and this site has been running like an incubator, wasn't able to get on.
