New album is unreal, truly beautiful stuff. Feels like the definition of a fall album tho, gonna be jamming it a lot more come October.
Wake Her Up might be my SOTY so far.

Much better, and I love this record. It's way darker and moodier. I think you'll dig it man!

Oh shit for real?? I actually have pretty low expectations tbh, but that’s probably the best way to go into an album for the first listen.
Kinda interested to check out the new Toadies album as well, but they really haven’t made anything I liked much since No Deliverance (and their only great albums are Rubberneck and, to a lesser extent, Hell Below Stars Above).

Yeah the new album is gorgeous, strong AOTY contender for me. The drumming is particularly phenomenal

Wisp feature on the new one really surprised me. Felt much more like a collaborative effort than a guest appearance.

i liked the new one a bit better than this! bad moons definitely the highlight. also really liked man overboard and no feeling. definitely a much more somber and dark album. really appreciated that.

My hot take of the day is that I like LP2 through LP4 more than LP1
