it was definitely quite hook heavy and closer to this than Suicide Season i would say



this is alright i guess but it's pretty much just the same formula as TTS (which i admittedly enjoyed). a bit of variation here and there but then they just resolve to the same pop clichés. good at what it does, sure, but long-term it's gonna get boring, and i don't perceive it as any more fun than their metalcore. even their heavier stuff they changed it up quite significantly every album. I would say this is more a carbon copy of their previous album than they've ever had. i do miss their heavier stuff

@anarchistfish: "Sleepwalking" and "Shadow Moses" are as hooky as that one gets, I think. And I wouldn't say hook-heavy =/= bubblegum pop but that's just me.
