Yeah, this isn't new. It's not new to put in rap. And I like some rap too, but this is awful and the song itself is pretty awful in general.

new single fucks, it´s just a song, skip it

Also finally a Vola song I can play at drums without looking like a fool

Amusing as they went with a really easy drumline on the heaviest song yet, and the lightest one (24 lightyears) has an indescribable drum pattern that I will not be able to play even after a month of studying it

I mean. . . the rap part is patched up a bit, but that 3:35 riff or whatever just brings ya home

I was thinking the same ref the drums aha. I can cope with Head Mounted Sideways but the bass drum pattern in the second verse just messes with my head idk why it’s not even that technically difficult

Vola is boomer djent, let's just lay that out there. Also I'm surprised so many enjoy this band considering their music IS so djent focused, it's clearly the prog rock like vocals that make it for people, they dont dont do anything for me tbh, as the millennial I am, that being said, I can't consciously say its not well executed. So yeah, boomer djent, but its admittedly well done.

Cover for the new album is beyond bland, I would much rather they use the single art for Straight Lines or something.

the reason I give this a 4 is because the djent riffs they do write are actually really infectious and enjoyable, so I can look past the vocals cause the instrumentals slap so hard, and I'm a sucker for a good old chonk djent riff, is what it is (they get minus points for not using strandberg or aristades guitars though). (I know I just lowered to 3.5 but that's just upon reinspection, same things above apply, I just rated a bit too highly for my personal taste I think)

"Idk how new throwing rap into a rock song is."

It was perfected in Fat Lip by Sum 41

Yeah exactly. It's not new at all and it rarely works. Fat Lip has to be one of the best uses of it LOL! And that's a joke song.
