it's no different than the end of rainbow signs when he slows down for the "finally out of college / little punchline" part and I wouldn't consider that anti-climactic; this was just separated into another track that's all

well Carousels/Son of a Widow, King Beetle/Allah, Bear's Vision/All Circles have pretty much done the same closing trick in their discography so it's hardly unprecedented

I'm excited for non-bandcamp quality and to actually have time to sit down and read along with the lyrics

Like it WAY more than Pale Horses on first listen though. I just found out today this was out. Some tracks are fucking amazing already

yeah im with Hogan. Pale Horses was such a fucking slam dunk for the band and idk, this isn't tickling me on just the first listen nearly to the extent of Pale Horses.

after checking this out i'm struggling to see what from this album warrants such a high score. the music isn't that interesting and the vocal performance and melodies aren't really pulling me in. Is it the lyrics or the subtle nature of the album as a whole?

Never heard a thing from this band. This a decent place to start?

Start with Catch For Us The Foxes, and then Brother, Sister

Probably not lol. Brother, Sister is always my go to, and pretty widely seen as their most representative

As much as I’m legit dying to hear the album, I’m just going to wait for my record to come in the mail so I can fully invest myself in the album and not listen to a subpar Bandcamp stream.

Keep jamming, rufin. I thought that for a bit. I’m like 6 spins deep now and in love for the most part.

'it's no different than the end of rainbow signs when he slows down for the "finally out of college / little punchline" part and I wouldn't consider that anti-climactic; this was just separated into another track that's all'
I disagree. That song basically reprises it's intro a bit before going out the same way it would have without it. This song (it's growing on me) really wouldn't fit with Michael, imo- and coupled with the jarring transition it kinda just feels tacked on a bit. The song is nice and actually is a decent bookend, but I think it would help if it was a little longer or something, idk.

Yeah I did, but my computer is in the shits. And I can’t download it to my phone, so I’ll just have to wait for my physical copy. But man, almost 30 pages already? Really loving this mwy love going on here.
