Listening to this through my mixing headphones. Dunno if I would call the drums clipped but they definitely have easily perceptible volume sags on each note. the cymbals also sound gated and definitely have a lot of high end hiss introduced. the snare distorts on rolls.
anyway it really isn't that complicated. the music is average and the drums are very badly mixed

idk TFP sounds bad because it's too pushed. this sounds bad because the way that they try and get it to not sound like TFP is too inelegant.
It sounds kind of like a deathcore job except even more squashy
