2003 and 2007 right here.. 2003 on the summer festival circuit especially.. lanegan was with them full-time, oliveri, and castillo was rounding his first year.. they were a beastly fucking live show then, some of the best i've seen..

I'm not surprised, 2003 era QOTSA was truly killer. I can't even count the number of times I've watched their '03 performance at Rock Am Ring on Youtube.

They're looking in good form this tour. Jon, their current drummer, is incredible. I actually think the current musicians, on pure talent, are the best they've had.

Edit: Head Like a Haunted House is incredible live

I would pay good money to see them in 2003...

Bid them goodnight by the day "Era Vulgaris" came out. Loved this dude's shit since the day I saw Kyuss back in '95 in Rome. The sound of telluric mayhem. So my respect for J.Homme will never die anyway...hopefully.

The Villains tracks sounded much better live, that is for sure.

this deserves a proper 6/10 imo. nothing amazing but not offensively bad, has some decent tracks but no standouts.

This album has me really confused. I jam it one day and don't get any appeal. Then I jam it another day and I wonder what made me think there was no appeal last time. Rinse repeat.. Either way I'll be seein these boys tomorrow night and there's not a doubt in my mind about it being an epic show.

Also, yeah Flug, that's the basic synopsis either way. Some standouts but even the standouts aren't career standouts.

I still love this album. Been shuffling together a bunch of Queens tracks and I never find myself bored by any songs of Villains when they come on.

yeah, this has really grown on me.

initially it was a bit of a letdown, because really anything was going to be after LC, but damn if i don't enjoy everything on here now.
