I still really love Heaven, in particular Lacey's performance

I Am a Nightmare's verse parts are awesome, it's just the opening riff and chorus that aren't that imaginative.. But I have a huge soft spot for the song

This is the way I listen to the album now and I enjoy it much more.

Lit me up
In the water
No control
Waste
Could never be heaven
137
Desert
Can't get it out
Out of Mana

Same logic, 451 and batter up are cut of course.
Can't get it out and out of mana are at the end because they're ok and I'll listen if I have time.

I have my own way of listening to this too but all the tracks still made the cut:

Lit Me Up

Can't Get It Out

Same Logic

In The Water

137

Out of Mana

Desert

No Control

451

Waste

Could Never Be Heaven

Batter Up

I think this is going to take a lot more listens for it to grow. If I'm being honest there is a bit of disappointment right now because Daisy was so immediately gripping for me.

137, In the Water, Out of Mana for me, but Lit Me Up is real close

No Control is just so... basic sounding. I like when the chorus comes in with the background vocals, but when it's just "no control.... no control.... no control..."

That said, I think the second half is stronger than the first half.

My top 3 are In the Water, Could Never Be Heaven, and 451 for now with Batter Up knocking at the door.

I'd be more excited about it if it were in any way tied to the band's website. Could be anyone.

"In the Water" is a stone-cold stunner, think the shades of blues and country make the song - almost kinda reminds me of Temple of the Dog in its musical approach, even though Lacey doesn't have anywhere near the vocal chops Cornell did back in '91 (nor does he have to, because that would be such an unreasonably tall order)

By far my favorite track on here after my first couple listens - a 5/5 song where my current runner-up ("Same Logic/Teeth") is a 4/5

In the Water is definitely the best thing here. Not quite getting the Same Logic love tbh; they've done the same thing far better in the past.

Nah that's amazing that one, the way it conveys feelings of ennui and despair is up there with Joy Division.
