i think what he was trying to say there was that despite not typically enjoying the styles Demon Days ventures into, it is one of his favourite albums regardless of his fact, implying that this is an example of the album's strength

Doesn't change the fact that the form of his comment is dumb. Instead of calling people's opinions out, expose yours, so we can compare and criticize. This kind of users are just plain toxic and bring nothing to the website.

Second, is Demon Days even that big on R&B ? While it certainly has a rap sensibility, it's way more pop-rock oriented than anything else. The electro-funk tone came along with Plastic Beach, while R&B seems to be Humanz's main innovation.

Come now, the end of Demon Days is unbearably cheesy and tryhard.

If 'epic album closers' was a cheap preset on a keyboard then that

I guess they make sense if you find the whole album amaze but as I find what proceeded them scrappy as all hell I find it a bit like tacking the credits of LOTR onto an episode of Impractical Jokers

doubt that much resale is going to happen as the album has become pretty iconic and has collectors value more than anything else

After a few more warranted listens front to back it's grown on me. Little by little I'm taking in more and more songs I really like from it. Overall, it's still inconsistent af. But I can live with that. This is above The Fall, but nowhere near their best stuff.
