It might be cos I grew up but the gimmicks on this are fantastic compared to BP, aside from hang em high. BP feels too forced at times and I just think it works better here

Completely get that. I guess Three Cheers never got me on the whole, cause I don't really "understand" the songs. Might sound stupid, but to me the songs on BP all actually express something and add to that whole idea behind it (except for Teenagers and The End probably), while some tracks on Three Cheers are just there for me. Yet they definitely had more fun with this and the album is probably "fresher" than BP in a way.

It's pretty easy to get songs like cemetery drive and I never told you what I do for a living within the concept. I find there to be plenty of emotion in the latter and also Helena, something I only think they've done again on famous last words.
I get what some songs are trying to to do in BP but they come of as tacky, like I don't love you and yeah, it's there but doesn't feel as sincere as this if you get me

You're right about those and also about Helena being quite emotional, especially if one knows what it is about.
But apart from the fact that the storyline is kind of foggy for me, there are many little things I find in all those songs that keep them from being really 5 star level. It's very consistent, but most tracks end up in that 3.5 region, where I have no problem listening to them and find them cool for one or two listens, but it just doesn't click.
Always liked I Don't Love You, even if it's overstatement in the more difficult way and quite insincere (which leaves the question, if an insincere song can still get to you on an emotional level). But if were looking for their most emotional songs, I'd point at Demolition Lovers and This Is How I Disappear (only a personal one, I guess) anyway.

I've only listened to The Black Parade (which was pretty bad), and I don't want to come off as an elitist, but why is the majority of people that listen to this are teenage girls and Hot Topic employees?

Idk if that is the majority lol. It's probably just the side of the fanbase you hear about the most cause it's funny and stupid.
