Klap I like the review a lot actually, I just felt that's the only line that acknowledges the prevailing attitude here and forgives it too easily. Anyone who has listened to other material by FJM and then only listens to this once...I'm going to call it...that's just lazy and is self fulfilling. After one listen I thought this was a total one note trudge.

You don't owe the artist anything, whether it be time or dedication. If someone finds his persona / posturing detestable they are under no obligation to keep listening over and over. This stance isn't indicative of laziness.

doof i was guilty of the same thing, when this leaked i listened to it twice, gave it a 2 and put it on the shelf for a month. then when i spun it a bunch more times for this review it def grew on me, but everything i disliked about it didn't necessarily go away, it just receded. i think it's all too easy to give up on this record after a couple listens, as lucid said

And here comes the rise now that it got a Fantano 9. It I could give it less than a 1, I would. I hated this album as it was but hearing such positive feedback for an album this bad makes it the most obnoxious album I can think of. It may not be the worst album I've ever heard (although it's not far off), but it's my most reviled.

I probably won't rate this higher than a 3; I probably will put it on my year-end list.
