To be fair, I think I got the gist of most of it even with Snide's posts being wiped.

The Pitchfork review for this is like a scrapped TMZ article.

But at least it doesn't bring up race for no reason.

Without agreeing with many of your conclusions, your introduction was spot-fucking-on.

"To critique it is to critique the causes it stands for, the lives it seemingly lends value. This is the trouble with political albums in our modern political climate--they invite discussion, but silence criticism. "

Kudos for giving this a shot. This was a mammoth task.

Lol.

Also I'd say race is a pretty important aspect of Beyonce's most recent music, isn't it?

"DAE HATE ALL THESE BLACK PEOPLE BEING PROUD OF THEIR RACE /s"

Shut the fuck up

Also she's always had a few race-related songs, this isn't all that much more political than her average work when there's like 3 or 4 songs that are legitimately and blatantly about race, the rest could be seen as that if you twist their meanings enough but otherwise

People on Twitter got bad at me because "you're not black or a woman so you don't get it" but all I talked about was how bad this is sonically
