i feel like i mighta taken half a point from this for the whole broken/fucked up rollout surrounding it making me feel like the album itself was broken/incomplete, but really i'm starting to think that's part of the fun

one of the biggest problems seems to be that that creative spark just wasn't present in the making of this, and he is so adamant about innovating and leaving behind a legacy that he contrives pseudo-artsy music with mixed results.

yeezus is presented with such a great atmosphere and uniformity that it feels like a complete work - like he knew exactly what he wanted to do and how he wanted to do it. by comparison this is a scatterbrained hodgepodge of different styles that don't work well within a single album format

the first track made me think this was gonna be Pimp A Butterfly: Kanye Edition with all the soul vocalists and jazziness and what not.

How dare someone attempt to argue with Gyro. That's like telling Neil D Tyson he is wrong.

hey man, i'm just trying to engage in discussions about this record. tensions were high with me and chuck but we've resolved that.

at least it's better than just coming in to drop a line about how good or bad this is, or that ____ track is awesome

I don't own a credit card so I have no idea what this album is like and it upsets me.

Yeezy could've put the album in iTunes and completely paid off his so-called debt from the revenue

I mean, he owns a decent percentage of Tidal, this decision was made as a gamble that users will flock and subscribe to Tidal to listen to Kanye's new album. Piracy will win out.

Piracy will win out. [2]

I'm quite skeptical of his debt claims to begin with.

It's a terrible business decision, guided by a terrible investment in a very flawed streaming service. Rather than using logic and cutting his losses, he's pushing all his chips all in, like a gambler in debt, hoping that he can win back his investments in Tidal.

It is his fault if he is in debt. Take responsibility for your actions.
