I really hope they keep making music. Honestly I couldn't give less of a shit about this band's output and I probably never will care that much about their music but as a musician speaking to another musician they have to keep going and doing what they love. Otherwise, what are we fighting for?

I kinda doubt they'll quit making music. They reiterated a few times that that was their job and it's what they do, they like doing it, and they weren't going to let the tragedy stop them from "living." The best way to fight back against this sort of intolerance is to just keep on keepin on, making that satanic devil rock so well representative of the western ideals the bad guys hate.

uh that's not what he said

But anyway, you couldn't really blame them if they stop, at least for some time. I think if would be healthier for them, at least for now, but hopefully they'll go back to it in the future

Yea I don't know how you could infer they won;t make music from their Vice interview, you prob could anticipate the opposite.

Yeah I guess I put it the wrong way. They can definitely do what they want, but personally if I were in the band I would want to continue. Music's too important to me to give it up in the face of tragedies like this, and I wouldn't be surprised if they felt the same way.

In a way, they're letting the terrorists win if they stop. But they can still do what they feel comfortable with. They are human, after all.

I really hope they get to play Bataclan first before anyone else when it reopens eventually, like they want. Now that'd be a powerful show.

Screw that, I want them to play the Stadium the French Germany soccer match was at, pack the place to 120,000 and rock the place out. Bataclan has already had a show but they should play there as well.

Just watched the vice interview; wow. I cannot imagine the guilt one would have for leaving the stage in a certain manner as an involuntary reaction to what's happening, only to realize you've left any number of your band and/or fans behind.

You'd obviously be making decisions at a break-neck pace, but how you consciousness would hold that over your head afterwards would be fairly traumatic. What a nightmare.

i know. soon as the shots rang out and people started screaming they were out of there really quickly. i know there's nothing they could've done but i still would've felt so guilty in their situation

It was instinct I suppose, you can't control that

Yeah, but some would argue that your instincts are a reaction of your truest self. So in making some knee-jerk reaction to something, and it not being the reaction you would have imagined from yourself, the subsequent guilt could eat at you for a significant amount of time. And that's what I'm saying I can't imagine... although for me, I know it'd likely be very hard to escape or withdraw from.

Yeah, there's definitely people out there that can beat their instincts; it is like the "ideal" scenario. What I was trying to say however is that you can't really blame him

I'm not. I don't think anyone is. In the vice interview, he just speaks about how he blames himself and feels guilty for some of his instinctive responses to the violence.

Why is this album so poorly rated? It's their second best after PLDM and at bare minimum, it's as good as the other two records.
