Also the synths really aren't more pronounced on the s/t EP than on this album either, and I do indeed prefer the production on the EP.

But again, this is just my taste, not insulting anyone for digging this, I just can't vibe with it. Not being contrarian. Just like you hate Cannibal Corpse, it's a personal thing.

Also, being crazy and commenting for a fourth time: it's not how loud or prevalent the synths are, I simply don't think they gel well with the guitars.

For example, I think the new Grok album is brilliant even though it's almost entirely bogged down in synth tracks and the guitars are barely audible.
