lmao no he doesn't. he's typing outta his ass. Its like reading youtube comments from some corny white guy who's only heard radio-rap.
honestly you're typing out your ass more than him. at least he's saying something. you're just doing a terrible job of defending the genre by insulting him and getting defensive but not really making any kind of insightful arguments whatsoever.

Are rappers still trying to "save" hip hop?
kendrick lamar seems to think he already has

"lmao no he doesn't. he's typing outta his ass. Its like reading youtube comments from some corny white guy who's only heard radio-rap."
Nah, I spend a lot of time wading through the garbage not playing on the radio looking for the occasional talented rapper. Don't assume I'm talking about top 40.

lets also take into consideration that this jeetjeet guy is currently digging meek mill and when i hover over his hip hop pie slice it comes up with eminem and drake so obviously he's furious right now.

As far as hip hop having no hope. The landscape is changing. Whatever. I think it has the same thing that's going on with a lot of music right now. The best quality and worst quality stuff is coexisting right now. I think the genre is putting out things that it never has, and because of that, you're getting a lot of shit. But you're also getting things you've never heard before.
(Super late edit so I made it a new comment)

I thought Kendrick was the type to try to spread positivity through his music instead of trying to boost the image of the genre?

Okay, whatever. I think this is a dumb argument. If y'all wanna give up on hip hop, more power to you, I guess. Idk

All these rappers are trying to fix hip hop when it isn't even broken
yet all the ones "trying to fix hip hop" weren't even there when hip hop was at its peak
and all the ones that are making good albums are just doing their thing like always

no one said that ever though... you're entire argument here has been based off shit no one ever said. ur basically arguing with yourself while putting the words you want to hear in other peoples mouths.
there is and always will be dope exciting hip hop out there but the state of mainstream and trending hip hop is growing increasingly superficial and intellectually barren. how does it come back from that? underground hip hop will always be sleuthing around in the background keeping it chill and saying "fuck YG"
