Best description of these kids I ever heard was it's like if a pair of friends decided to tell everyone they were rappers and then somehow bullshitted their way into having a record deal, and they now actually have to record an album.
They're not terrible, they're just not good. I feel like any seventeen year old with a vague ability to make words rhyme could have done just as well. It's the big problem with hip hop now, you get these stellar producers making top notch music and letting random people babble nonsense over it.
