the autotune aesthetic does not fit taylor swift's music at all and singing on key is not a problem for her so where does autotune fit in here

There aren't many albums that make it out of the studio without the use of some sort of autotune, guys. Studio magic has
been perfecting recordings for decades. Autotune and pro tools are just the latest iteration of it. It's going to continue evolving,
but by all means complain about it.

There's a difference between using autotune as a literal effect pedal (808s & Heartbreaks, T-Pain's career) and post-production studio magic.

If you can't sing at all you shouldn't be a vocalist/singer

Yeah. I missed most of the argument, I guess, but yeah, there is a difference agreed. Most autotune should not be noticeable.

yes that is my point lol it's nice to hear that singing on key isn't a problem for her. it's in a lot of dancey music, off the top of my head, britney, ke$ha (who can sing without it so i guess you could argue it's aesthetic), j-lo i think. i'm pretty sure maroon 5, biebs (maybe), and one direction use it, but i'll admit it's a lot easier for me to hear on female singers

"anyone can sing with autotune"

very insightful criticism of modern pop music
it's almost like you watched a whole episode of south park to reach that conclusion smh
