The love for SNR on this site always amazes me lol also the lack of love for Adrenaline...It makes no sense in the band's growth. And yeah, no song like Bored and Birthmark agree!

SNW was the sound of a band pushing its creative limits

Adrenaline was the sound of a band that had yet to fulfill its potential

I definitely wouldn't call SNW deftness pushing their limits, not compared to white pony or diamond eyes

"SNW was the sound of a band pushing its creative limits"

WAAT!? SNW was band in a fuckin creative crisis, only recovered on Diamond Eyes. It has a few tracks, but it was a messy album...for me they are all great for obvious reasons...but SNW and Gore are the least accomplished.

I just don't let anyone to mess with Adrenaline lol

This doesn't do to much for me compared to almost all of their later work. Most of it still sounds like your (above average) Nu Metal affair

ahah come oon dude, they are one precursors of Numetal, for better or worse, this is brilliant work considering the raw material in hands. So yeah, I agree with your sentence, but I don't think of that in a diminishing way, cause that genre brought me some late 90's, 00's classics.

Deftones, like Radiohead, really clicked with me with on their third record. That's when they truely started pushing the envelope

Commited is an understatement. I would recommend starting with their first record or the second (my profile pic). The first one may be hard to digest at first, but it offers a hell of a lot of variety (post hardcore, progressive rock, psychedelic rock, post rock), while the second record is a bit easier on the ears for the most part

White Pony, sure, but Diamond Eyes? Come on bro, that’s by far the safest album in their discography bar their debut. There isn’t a single boundary pushed

Adrenaline is far from safe...and they've pushed a lot of boundaries there. Just because they gladly went in a different direction, or just because you're not into it, because is too heavy for you f.e., it doesn't mean Adrenaline is safe. I can agree they definitely sound different and more raw and nervous on Adrenaline. And yeah I love the changing of direction to a more postmetal vibe. But Adrenaline fucking rules.

Who ever says that Adrenaline does not push a single boundary, or never "really listened" to the album, or just don't get it, or listened in the wrong time at the wrong place.

Just because your username and avatar references Deftones doesn't make you the keeper and all-knowing of everything Deftones. Simmer down.
