idk it does sound different from their other albums. however, that doesn't mean it would be experimental at all. to me it sounds like agalloch being agalloch without anything that made their previous albums special. it's just enjoyable and that's about it

I avoided this when it first came out because of the bad reviews, but I'm listening now and it ain't bad. Production and guitar tones need some work though.

This drags but has plenty of cool moments, Marrow is better though and obviously their first three are in a league of their own.

Yeah nothing so far touches the acoustic bit of Embers, but it could be worse. I just hate how every time there's a clean guitar solo the tone just sounds so dull, especially considering some of the post rock sounds they had on PF/Mantle.
