With all due respect, there's a really good chance you won't like Monogatari, Snide.



It's basically a supernatural harem but it's really artsy. Not just the visual direction, but there's a lot of dense, punny language that doesn't really translate, unreliable narrators, a lot of talking.



But some people definitely think it's pretentious, which is fair I guess. I'm on the other side, which criticizes the show for basically being a harem. I like it better when it leaves its harem elements (the arcs not narrated by the MC Araragi are by far the best ones, in my opinion).

I have four fucking classes tomorrow, will prob wake up early to watch Korra and spell all of my math class freaking out about what happened in Korra. lol

Lol I have nothing but a big party at my friends house to go to tomorrow after dinner so I have nothing tomorrow. Well watch Korra and binge jam all day :D it's been a busy week I deserve to slack tomorrow for christ sake.

@titan, Seasons 1 & 2 aren't really up-to-par to A:TLA, but 3 was excellent and 4 is shaping up to be even better (at least from the bits we've been teased).

@Talons, maybe. I think she's going to have disavowed being the Avatar completely, and Season 4 will be a reconstruction/affirmation of the Avatar (to the contrary of what people are saying about her ending the cycle).

I don't think that's ever even been implied lol. What I was referring to was the speculation (at least on /r/thelastairbender) that Korra will willingly give up her Avatar spirit at the end of Season 4 to bring balance to the world somehow.



But I don't think that's going to happen, since I think Season 4 is going to be about reconstructing Korra's identity as the Avatar.

The writers said (iirc) that they want to leave the cycle open for a new series anyways. We don't really know if it's the last Avatar, though honestly I'd guess not. Nick might be treating Korra like shit but they're not stupid; when they see how much money Korra makes post-release (digital downloads, blu-ray, etc.) they'll come around for another show. Whether Bryke still has their heart in it is another matter completely

So that was awesome. I like the idea of a military tyrant being the villain. Something they haven't done before. Can't wait to find out how Korra got to where she is in episode 2!
