I am genuinely surprised!

Did I not previously say that this was a 5 regardless of quality?

Ay Xing I just recorded 10 minutes of music where I wrote lyrics from the point of view of Commander Shephard. Can we do a split yet?
|
| |
You most certainly did!

I really like the song lengths, this is easy to digest, but not lacking in complexity or substance.

In case you didn't read the bandcamp info on all of the tracks, I basically sat down with my guitar and wrote every song in one sitting and recorded it immediately after. That's why a lot of the stuff is sloppy at times because I literally wrote it moments before recording, but it was a nice experiment for my creative output. I wrote OCD in like 15 minutes and made up the vocals on the spot. I am pleased! :]
@Yak: Is that the main character from Mass Effect? Part of me wants to do splits but part of me is like, do I want to waste songs on a split

Seeing as I 5'd this
You should do something for me Xing
And said thing should be you listening to Dan Andriano's solo album

cool experiment xing
what's stopping you from applying that mentality to a split?
Pure collab, bring no old material.
|
| |
Because if it's awesome, then it won't be apart of the next EP!
|
| |
What's stopping you putting a song on a split and an EP?
|
| |
I absolutely hate when bands do that. What a waste. It makes buying/downloading the split an absolute waste of everyones time when tracks are the same. I also fucking hate when bands rerecord songs from EPs and put them on their full lengths

agreed, that's turbo-lame

Splits are such an interesting and odd thing. I like the concept but very rarely is a split released that I actually give a shit about. I can honestly only think of three or so that are worth caring about. Usually they consist of songs I would deem not good enough to fit on an LP

Yeah that's the guy from Mass Effect, but wack and I already settled on a split, but I fart out music really fast so I would still love to do a split with you sometime!
|
| |
I think if I did a split, it would need to be ungodly amounts of awesome. Like Sed Non Satiata/Daitro split levels of awesome
I actually write a craaazzzzy amount of music too, but I haven't released any of it yet. Eventually though. Right now I'm just in that zone where I am coming up with music on the spot and recording it and it's all really awesome, so I gotta take advantage of that inspiration before the well dries up
