Posts from years ago are showing up in huge font too now what's going on?
|
| |
the font is bigger if you quote something it's quite simple really

I've also noticed that fonts are different for certain users and posts. Jom did mention that MX is back for a few days and might be tinkering with stuff on the site, maybe that's the cause.

Pretty much. What's alluring about crap production? I mean seriously, can anyone explain to me why they would want to do that in the first place?

To make it seem LOUDER. Fucking overproduced albums become almost impossible to listen to by the end thanks
to your ears being consistently pounded
Seriously though, how dare he fuck Iommi and Butler's rich tones

Do they not know that I have volume control on my crappy laptop and can make stuff louder or softer at my own discretion, without sacrificing quality??? This isn't Britney Spears, guys, this doesn't need to compete with other pop bands for who can make the loudest radio/juke box single. It's going to hit #1 on the charts no matter what you do, so making it sound like crap just to make the singles more prominent is a stupid idea from a marketing perspective.

Rick Rubin keeps doing that for so long now. I think even Trouble's Manic Frustration has the same issues as this one and Death Magnetic and it was released 22 years ago.

Yeah his whole philosophy revolves around overproduction and "stripped down" sound. Sucks that Sabbath's last album is going to be produced by him
|
| |
This albums production is anything but "stripped down".
|
| |
Stripped down to the basest elements of million dollar production.
|
| |
Haha yeah.

Stripped down in the sense that he doesn't like too many instruments or layers. Whatever the case he should stick with more mainstream artists
|
| |
I dont get how he used to be a great producer then suddenly started to overproduce. Nowadays every metal
album sounds the same production wise, to the point where you'd think they all had the same producer, and it
takes away from any originality a band might have.

Yeah that's so true, the productions feel so sterile and lifeless. The bands are trying to make everything
sound too "perfect" and as a result lose most of their character.

You cant even tell guitarists apart these days.
