It's literally Obituary with Barnes before his vocals got completely shot. Don't see what's not to like really. It's not amazing but perfectly serviceable and solid. I honestly feel like people who knock SFUs entire discography haven't heard Haunted. ESPECIALLY if they're Obituary fans because riff wise it's up to par

Obituary isn't one of my top bands or anything but I thought they riff pretty hard on Slowly We Rot and Cause of Death. Guitarist that started with SFU was one of the main songwriters for Slowly We Rot. Either way though it's not garbage. Barnes vocals after that album could ruin anything though. Shit is dreadful lol

Slowly and Cause are two of the most overrated dm albums ever imo tbh hahaha. I mean there's some dece riffs but they're boring af for the most part to me.

Yeah I think Slowly is amazing. Cause of Death is good too but mostly because of Murphy's solos which are fucking phenomenal on that and Spiritual Healing and Disincarnate. Anything dm Murphy is on is worth a jam for him alone imo
