Worst song on this is easily Let the Groove In. I'm fine with the rest..
I'm a little bit disturbed to like this album since I'm not really a pop "fan"
Edit : Setting this on 4 for the moment.. It already grew a lot on me since my first listen.

Let the Groove In is still awesome but I can see why people wouldn't dig it.
Suit and Tie would be so much better without that idiot ruining everything.

I cant believe the middling reviews this is getting from critics. willing to give any stupid indie record-of-the-day an 80%, but not justin timberlake!

Agreeing with that.. If Jay-Z could have spitted something excellent fine, but he sucked on this.. I miss the Jay-z from RD, BA, BP

My fave will always be Strawberry Bubblegum. Such a dancy type of song.
And to quote Ron Burgundy
"If you don't think this song is the greatest song ever....I will fight you."

@Soby it seems a lot of "classics" get middling reviews at the start, because people are too eager to review something without letting it sink in. I remember reading 'Bohemian Rhapsody' got middling reviews to begin with, The Great Gatsby and Moby Dick got bad reviews to begin with, and Pinkerton speaks for itself.
I bet you these reviewers will be the first ones to praise the 20/20 experience in their review of JT's 2018 album (or whatever is the one after part 2 of this)

part 2 better not suck.

tried listening to 2 tracks of this and hated it
|
| |
haha idk about comparing this to moby-dick
to me moby got bad reviews because it was so discursive and weird and different from every other book at the time and critics didn't really know how to deal with that whereas the critics of this album seem to be saying that it's not really revolutionary, just a bunch of pretty good dance-ish songs stretched out too long (most saying this as a response to people like sobhi calling this a revolution or something close)

okay alex I meant more that critics tend to bite their tongues (lol rolling stones' "revised" review on Pinkerton) on what would later be seen as classic and/or revolutionary. Maybe Gatsby was the better choice, since I think I read it was seen as amateurish or something.
And I dunno I've read a couple of other reviews and tbh they didn't even look at the album from the standpoint that it's a game-changer. They just reviewed it like the next Katy Perry album. But I have read only like two or three non-Sputnik reviews so there's that.
