you either like the early, the late, or you like them all.
maybe the people who like the later stuff are more fanboyish (me) than others but why would you say you aren't really a fan of the band if you like a few of their albums?
you like them but you don't want to publicly declare it?

I definitely wouldnt consider myself a PT fanboy though. I've just heard some songs that I really like from them through Pandora and such for quite some time. Figured I might as well check them out.
So far I actually like The Incident most, which seems to be the one most people dont like. But I still got a few left to get to.

Actually Danny I am a pretty big PT fan. Not as much as I used to be but they still hold a special
place for me, and helped get me into 70s prog.

Hating on pretty much all their albums except 3 is behaving like a fanboy? Even the albums I do like certainly aren't anything close to masterpieces or anything imo. I see what you're saying but I couldn't possibly call myself a big fan when I hate 80% of their material. I enjoy discussing the albums I think are good and I sometimes join in with other PT discussions for some mild amusement but I don't think any of that counts towards behaving like a fanboy.
