The Battle is good what was I thinking?
|
| |
Tracks like "More Fool Me" and "After the Ordeal" always kept it from being perfect, and the Battle of Epping Forest seemed cluttered and didn't strike me as up to the quality of their other epics. But songs like Dancing with the Moonlit Knight, Firth of Fifth and The Cinema Show are all some of the best songs they ever did.
Aisle of Plenty is also a good reprise and closer.

if you walked like a lawnmower youd feel awkward too tho
|

A few feel like filler though, like they didn't put as much work in to them.

must admit the album felt like that to me too when i first heard it but it grows a lot as a whole

Tracks 2,4 and 5 was meh in the start but they grew. After The Ordeal was always awesome.
|
| |
If you look at any interview or commentary by the band they will say that they weren't happy with how the Battle of Epping forest turned out.
