originality alone does not make anything good
and holy mother of god, in what universe is this a 4.5? I mean, rate things how you want but jesus.
|

even jesus hates this
|

it astounds me how much sputnik loves to jerk off over shitty albums
if you actually know it's going to be shitty, why bother wasting your time listening to it
|
| |
how can you know if something is good if you've never heard anything bad?
and if nothing else, it's always good for some lulz

I dunno I was bored, and was kind of hoping sputnik was being overly retarded with all the 1s. They were kind of. Terrible album but not the worst thing I've ever heard. I listened to about half of each track before I skipped to the next one.

oh yeah, I'm not picking on you specifically or anything, I was just saying. I listened to that one song that they streamed first and realised what a turd this was and thus I never bothered with the album. I guess some people just have more time on their hands than I do. I would rather listen to the 400 or so albums I've stupidly stockpiled which I'm already certain I will like :S

@ Aids I gave this a 1, not because it's the worst thing ever, but because they had the guts to make shitty 4 minute songs and quadriple their length (or even more) for no goddamn reason (Junior Dad springs to mind)

yeah I know what you mean. to be honest I had been listening to some of my favourites all night and was kind of bored of listening to music (if that makes any fucking sense). so I threw this piece of shit on while I mindlessly surfed 9gag and other internet time-wasting machines. It was like 3AM and I couldn't sleep. weird way to kill time but yeah i dunno, I wanted to see if all the negative hype was warranted. It actually was fun to listen to just for how out of place Lou Reed's vocals were.
|
| |
imo lou reed lost any relevance to 'good' music well over three decades ago
or at least after transformer came out (whenever that was, cbf google)

Album title should read- "LOL"
Arguably the worst metal song I have ever heard in my life has to be "Little Dog". It encompasses so many levels of fail its mind boggling. At least St. Anger had 1 or 2 songs that you could probably play if you had nothing else to listen to, afterwards it went back to "coaster status" on your coffee table.
This album could not even reach the level of "coaster" just out of the sheer embarrassment of just owning a copy and having to explain its purchase to friends and family. At least "St Anger" has the ubiquitous reputation of being a bad purchase by millions of fans as you laugh over it with a drink. This one has no such excuse.

To be fair Sputnikmusic has the album listed under "metal". Which is not even remotely close to what this abomination is.
For more Lulz:
"Lars Ulrich also noted the negative reaction to Lulu, and stated that he wasn't surprised by the criticism due in part because, "In 1984, when hard-core Metallica fans heard acoustic guitars on 'Fade to Black', there was a nuclear meltdown in the heavy-metal community," and also noted that Reed's poetry is "not for everyone."
Lars is a failure as a musician and human being. Fade to Black is one of their best songs, to compare that to this steaming pile of garbage is ridiculous.
