Finally got this. It's a pretty stunning achievement, any way you cut it, imo. The sheer diversity on here, and the average quality of the songs really impressed me. The only thing that got to me were some of the theatrics, especially that circus aesthetic that comes out in some of the tracks.
The only EPs I thought bled together a bit were Red, Orange, Yellow, with their bluesy inclinations.

White is really the only thing keeping me from 5'ing this. I wasn't too big on Violet, but it's grown on me a lot.

pretty huge dear hunter fan since his first album but this is "only" a 4.5 for me. there are a handful of minor probs (e.g. a sua voz and filth+squalor should each have 1 less chorus, a couple of the white and red songs are weaker than the rest of the album) that are just enough to knock it down. if they had partial ratings i would prob do a 4.6 or 4.7 though. really hard to have 36 flawless songs for a 5. "consolidate" it to 28-30 and it prob would be a 5.

Pretty much all of Red is awesome...what modern rock radio should sound like. This whole thing is so damn good. 2 days ago I thought White was meh, now I think it's ace.
