SOAD definately has some of my favorite album covers to say the least. Badassly unique. Oh yea they sound pretty good.

This is one album that I just LOVE to hate. Let's face it, at first listen this was by far some of the worst sh*t I've ever heard in my life, but sooner or later it kinda grew on me, but not fully. Some of the pros: Attack, Tentative, Stealing Society, and MAYBE Kill Rock n' Roll. But then this album has some of the most GOD AWFUL songs I've ever heard in my life: Lonely Day ( by far the worst SOAD song I've heard, was Daron just like fuck it this album sucks anyway?!?), She's Like Heroin (one of the stupidest songs I've ever heard, God damn Daron, your fillers SUCK), and Vicinity of Obscenity (O.K. THIS is the stupidest SOAD song, banana banana banana, shut the fuck up!) Then there's some of the O.K. stuff, well I guess the remainders but nothing special although I love the guitar intro to U-Fig and the guitar break (HIDE IN THE SKY!). Hypnotize, the song, is pretty much just an attempt at SOAD making a mainstream song, although I do love it at some times. But this album is pretty weak at most times, sometimes It's just ear torture to hear Daron's voice (stick to back-up!) which is proved in Scars on Broadway. I'm being pretty generous giving it a 2.5

great review,the album shines

I'm a die hard System fan. Huge fan. But this album really disappointed me, I thought the song compositions were sloppy and all over the place. Juxtaposed to their self-titled, this is not cutting it, at all.

Unnecessarily long review. Dissing Rage was unnecessary. There would be no System without Rage.

That's right, I actually think that Lonely Day ISN'T their worst song. It's still pretty bad, though.

I thought Daron was actually pretty decent on some Mezmerize songs (Lost in Hollywood really struck a chord with me for some reason), but then again his efforts on this album nearly made me puke, especially on Kill Rock N' Roll. SO I FELT. LIKE. THE BIGGEST. ASS. HOLE.



Hypnotize really helped me to understand Sputnik's hatred of Daron's voice.

scars on broadway are fucking terrible
