Holy shit, C'est la Vie and Hair Trigger are way harder to learn (on guitar) than anything I learned off of Fortress.

this.

i would like to know his reasoning behind such a high rating for this average band

I just like it. I love the vocals, which I think is key in order to really like this band. I love

Kezia and Fortress, this took the longest to grow on me, and it wasn't such an evolution as Kezia to

Fortress, but, they are a lot more comfortable as a band now, and I love how this album has a lot

more groove to it.

Kinda happy to see a PTH album in the 3's, which is honestly where they all belong

I finally settled for a 3.5, will see if it can get higher since it took some time to grow on me (the first 2 listens were 2.5er). Their "clean" sections have really improved.

But the album as a whole sounds too "samey", it's hard to get through it as a whole.

album is pretty good, way more consistent than their last few. but the lyrics are iffy

but the lyrics are iffy

There is more depth to the lyrics than you might think on first listen.

There's really not that much falsetto on this.

You are absolutely right. I have a bad habit of just calling his clean vocal performance falsetto.

lyrics are basically always surface level unless you have to visit the library to understand them (in which case, they're not particularly deep either, they're just overblown)

these are fine in most places but painful in others

The lyrics on this are pretty good but it seems a lot of the time he belts out a line it's something really stupid.

I think it's hilarious that people are more pissed off about Arif's lines about jacking it than Rody writing about his friends losing their hair and getting fat

your sense of humour leads you to think a lot of unfunny things are hilarious i've found
