Bonjour Jethro,

c'est un excellent review que tu nous offres pour cet album emblématique québécois. Harmonium est un groupe intemporel qui a su ravir plusieurs générations de mélomanes et je suis bien heureuse de savoir qu'un hommage lui est offert sur ce site. J'espère que de nombreux fan de musique prog rock auront l'audace de découvrir ce groupe prog/rock unique qui fait, encore aujourd'hui, la fierté de notre peuple.



For everybody else, if you had to try only 1 song from Harmonium, I suggest you the best of all; Histoires sans paroles.

Je suis surpris que ma review en Français aye été si bien acceuillie. Le fait qu'Harmonium soient francophones doit y être pour quelque chose. Comme de quoi Harmonium n'ont pas seulement un impact chez nous, mais aussi chez les anglophones. Le band est définitivement un incontournable si on parle de prog/rock. D'autres formations de prog ont eus un grand impact ici au Québec, quand je pense à Morse Code, Octobre, Maneige, Sloche. Mais Harmonium arrive en tête de liste pour sa facilité à composer des chansons à la fois accessibles, accrocheuses et bien travaillées et recherchées. Je te remercie CrimsonQueen pour tes bons mots, ainsi que ton commentaire et ton résumé qui décrivent si bien ce qu'est Harmonium.

@zak their debut album is honestly one of the best folk albums of the 70s in my opinion. It's definitely

worth listening to if you like this, especially for the songs "Harmonium" and "Un Musicien Parmi Tant

@Jethro yeah, "Vieilles Courroies" and "Aujourd'hui..." are definitely highlights too. But for me the title-track and "Un Musicien..." are the only ones that can rival with songs like "Histoires sans Paroles" , "Depuis L'Automne" and "Le Premier Ciel"
