I gave it a 3.5, I like it quite a bit

yeah but there has to be something you don't like if you gave it a 3.5
|
| |
I can say the same thing about you, can't I? I mean my 3.5 isn't far off from your 4.
But to answer your question, most of the songs all sort of sound the same. And it's not like I'm in love with any of the songs either.

i probably feel about the same except i love the choruses but all the songs are very same-ish.
|
| |
But for me, songs sounding the same is not always a problem. It all depends on that core sound that all the songs are following. If I'm not liking that, there's no way I can like the album.

It's all about Scaremonger and Those Who Slay Together, Stay Together, people.

Its time for me to finally listen top this. I have hated this band because they are from my state forever. Craig just sucked as a vocalist ESPECIALLY LIVE. So i hear the new guy is actually really good so i am having some hope for this right now.

listen to it all at one time in order.
|

The new singer is vastly better than the last

^ the amount of win from this comment cannot be measured by using logic but can only be measured by using Craig O'Vision
if your nose isn't far up craigs behind this comment will not make sense...

I fucking hated this band until this album.

Even if you just listen to "Caves" this album shows so much promise; they've matured and it's a welcome change.

Craig's vox were always so hit or miss whether it was screams or cleans. This guy has a more easily digestable style.
Chiodos did manage to keep their unique sound even while losing a lead vocalist. They have always been distinguished by their post-hardcore/experimental style, and they managed to keep that going, but as many people have said; they have definitely matured.
Go take a quick listen to 'All's Well' and tell me that as a band they haven't gotten better. It feels like they are an actual band now, rather than just Craigs group of people.

Just got this album and the intro "Illuminaudio" and the first song "Caves" are AMAZING!!!
|
| |
I really don't want "Notes in Constellations" to be the only song i like on this album, as it is melodramatic, but it has been hard for me to latch onto any others! Recs?! Otherwise, this is getting put on the shelf...
