Schaffer might be a dumbass, but his rhythm guitar work is almost unmatched

Hetfield could learn a thing or two from him

^ I'd say he and Hetfield are on pretty equal footing tbh, when it comes to best metal rhythm guitarists
Then again, what makes Hetfield more impressive is that he can sing and do those crazy rhythm parts at the same time

^Hetfield singing/playing songs like Battery live still baffles me. Nowadays more players are versed in combining the two, Dave Davidson of Revocation comes to mind

"Hetfield singing/playing songs like Battery live still baffles me."
Especially during the Damaged Justice tour when the band played almost twice as fast as the studio recording
|
| |
Took you 5 months to respond to me eh
The whole metal vocalist + lead guitarist baffles me every time. The talent it takes, I just can't understand it especially when it's ultra tech stuff like Revocation or Obscura or whatever. Hell, I even give Matt Heavy props

Yeah Davidson stated somewhere that it's the most difficult part for him, singing and playing at the same time. No shit.
I just can't fathom it at all.
