So guys, this is really good. It's like quirky, sometimes silly, very competent, guitar heavy pop punx. And you guys know how I love da pop punx.

It's pree pop punx, Lakes. If this album were made today, people would say it would be, anyways. Those

vocals especially, it doesn't get much more pop punx than those vocals!

Demi, you dun know a lot about pop punx so I can't take your word for it.

Power pop is a sweet genre. A lot of stupid shit pop punx/rock bands try to pass themselves off as power pop, when they're really just shit pop.

Alright Demi, here's a very easy one-question test for you (and Lakes).

Demi, a few years ago, every other new pop punk band started to have metalcore breakdowns (most/all of it was shit). And a few years before that, every other pop punk band tried to be the new Fall Out Boy.

What does pop punk's new trend(s) consist of (the past two or three years)? And is it generally better or worse than the ones that preceded it?

Hint 1: there are two right answers.

Hint 2: like one of the previous trends, these two involve influences that aren't pop punk.
