I was supposed to see them when they were gonna tour with Gorguts back in 2017. But something happened with their Work Visas not arriving and they ended up not being able to make it.



Gorguts was still awesome, but seeing them with Defeated Sanity would've been insane. Haven't been able to catch DS since, unfortunately.

i saw them at a baltimore bar for like 7 dollars a week before mde(2011?, it was during this album cycle) and someone [unrelated to the show] bled out in front of the venue so in between sets we we're smoking on a blooded sidewalk[visceral disgorge was one of the openers and years later had a chat with them about the incident.] they were gnarly during this era caught em twice, then also saw them around passages and dharmata. excellent live band but i didn't have enough money for mde this year

basically the venue was on a corner and the dude died on the side so that was caution taped off. the word of mouth legend is two people got in a fight and dude got stabbed, so stabbed dude starts lashing out yelling that he's gonna go grab his hammer and come back. he came back [either with a literal hammer or a gun never got full confirmation but have heard both takes] and the assailant had already left, so the dude sat down against the building and bled out. it happened at like the start of the show so it'd been like an hour or two before defeated took stage but that was probably their introduction to baltimore lol. AJ was on vox for both the 2011 dates i saw
