A perfect example as to why Chino should stop writing lyrics.

Chino's lyrics have never been (consistently) good, really.

Bumped my rating up from a 3 to a 3.5

but Chino's the best part about this band...

I generally like his stream-of-consciousness writing style, even if it does occasionally make for some awkward lyrical moments.

Abe's easily the most underrated part, and would be second for me. He's maybe my favorite drummer, it's just that Chino's maybe my favorite vocalist... I CAN'T DECIDE!

geetar mainly, although I can find my way around a drum set, piano and bass pretty well. Sax would probably be my second best instrument actually haha, though it's been a minute since I played it.

my old band used to have a myspace, dunno what happened to it. but if you search "Inveigh" on last.fm, purevolume or garageband you should be able to find some of our old stuff. we were pretty much just a groove-based metalcore band... but I still like some of the songs. We played with Poison the Well, Throwdown, The Classic Struggle, Embrace the End, Shadows Fall and Mudvayne at various points in our on-again, off-again "career."

I don't understand the universal praise this album appears to be getting. To me it seems bland. If the album were a biscuit it would be a shortbread.

Not that good for Deftones is like watching the Victoria's Secret runway show and saying a model is ugly. White Pony is their Adrianna Lima. This is more like the chubby Tyra Banks.

Its all interpretive, so I can see why someone wouldn't like them. Well, I see them as being interpretive

He's one of those hit or miss people. Not like that's a groundbreaking fact or anything.

I think as a whole his lyrics are great, but when you start picking it apart and analyzing certain lines a few flaws emerge

"I like you when you take off your face" is practically the best lyric on the album, wtf.
