This album sounds like average indie rock, it's so insufferable

There is no legitimate reason for this to be considered a masterpiece, or at least no reason for it to be considered better than Kid A

I try to reduce double standards and harsh bias as much as possible in my opinion, but:

The fans of this album are complete retards.

Fitter Happier and No Surprises got me the most yesterday listening to this

‘Nothing so ridiculously teenage and desperate...nothing so childish’

The way emotion seeps into the Hawkings monologue, amazing.

If you’re English ‘No Surprises’ is the way your life sounds - it’s like ‘Dark Side of the Moon’. Holding on in quiet desperation is the English way.

That song kills me more each year, wounds that won’t heal.

“Fitter. Happier.” is as perpetually overlooked as anything on this could possibly be, extremely effective piece.

@Trif, you know you’re dealing with a true masterpiece when “Subterranean Homesick Alien” is the closest you’ve got to a weak link.

Oh man I know. SHA is so immensely good but not because of deeper layers or whatever. As far as that goes it could very well be the weakest link agreed. Yet it is still a-ma-zing and one of the more immediate ones here and I always want to hear it.

And Fitter Happier is just iconic. Immense album.
