I also love the b-side track, When I blind Man Cries, one of the best ballads EVER imo.

Yeah incredibly consistent. My favorite changes from time to time but if I had to choose one I'd go with Highway Star.

Maybe I'm A Leo could have been axed for Blind Man, honestly.

I really enjoy Maybe I'm A Leo. They should have just added the damn track, the album is less than 40 minutes anyway. Would have made a perfect closer.

Maybe I'm A Leo has an awesome riff definitely wouldn't axe that.

"They should have just added the damn track, the album is less than 40 minutes anyway. "
I stand corrected.

"Maybe I'm A Leo has an awesome riff"
Its similarity to No One Knows (QOTSA) is stunning btw.

Nice to see someone else who loves Pictures... Nero.

just jammed this. forgot how good this was

Sadly, I'm thinking that MoR and Paranoid prob beat most DP.
MiJ is prob the only DP that beats both for me.
|
| |
MiJ.....?

made in japan
you know, the best live album ever.
|
| |
Made in Japan dude.
I feel Sabbath overall sounded better in the studio than DP, and achieved fuller results in that regard.
But the case could be made for Made in Japan being the best recording out of the entire Unholy Trinity.

It's a only matter of taste which is better when you reach highs like Paranoid, MoR, In Rock or Machine Head. The Sabbath albums have the crushing riffs but the Purple ones have the better soloing, vocals and drum performance. But again, it's a matter of taste.
|
| |
Agreed. Being a sucker for crushing riffs I definitely prefer MoR and Paranoid to any Deep Purple, but In Rock can hold its own against them both.

Having said that, Fireball might become my fave DP studio.
|
| |
Fireball is my favourite DP studio album.
