'Cuckoo Cuckoo' is easily the most overlooked track here. Personal favorite is probably 'Peacebone', which would be in contention for my overall favorite AC tune alongside 'Banshee Beat' and 'In the Flowers'.

My roommate described having stumbled upon an animal collective concert in brooklyn in 2003 (here comes the Indian or as the cool kids say ARK era) and still feeling attached to that even though he loves the band overall. You’re right though he’s nuts, even if I like HCTI a lot. Definitely think 2004-2009 is where it’s at, EPs included

my favorite full-length is basically a toss-up between HCTI and feels. HCTI gives me vibes that no other album does. love it dearly
i have a weird relationship with MPP. loved it a lot when i was like 11 but i think i like them a lot more as a weirdo-folk group than a maximalist-pop group
