Very underrated album. Opeth's most complete work, and by far THE best album I have heard lyrically, it is just beautiful. Opeth fanboys who expect a stack of heavy shit hated this for the three Damnationesque songs (hence a meagre 4.1 by their standards) but anyone with a brain will see the true mastery of this fantastic album. Whilst not as creatively astonishing as BWP is it more consistent.

the reason deliverance is a 4 is because its probably their worst album besides orchid. damnation was pretty good but it got really samey to me.
this album is almost the perfect mix of prog and metal in my opinion
