I was listening to Veisshu today and remembered how good Thrice used to be. They're still incredibly talented and make some great songs, but they just... got boring somewhere along the way.

I haven't listened to this album in months though, maybe I just need to spin it a few times to refresh my memory.

Brand New might have more catchy songs or whatever, but not any musician in Brand New is better then any in Thrice. Thrice is timeless, Brand New is teenny bopper stuff (still good stuff, but we gotta be realistic here)

This is (still) an incredibly good album; i wish some of the lower raters would give it a few relistens, since it's such a grower!

Circles has one of my favourite vocal melodies ever

Sometimes I'm like why do I like this so much it's so bland? And then I listen and I'm like oh right.

Really don't see what the fuss is about. Downloaded this to see what all the Sputnik fuss was about,
then deleted it from my ipod two days later. Individual tracks i've heard from some of their other
albums sound better though, so i might check out Vheissu next and see if I like it better.

Yeah I'm one of like three people on Sputnik who thinks this is their best, so you'll probably like another album of theirs more

Illusion of Safety, Artist in the Ambulance and Vheissu are their strongest records imo. IoS for post-hardcore, Vheissu is more alt/rock-y and AitA is a mix of both. I'd say this would rank right behind those three, but it's a distant fourth.
