I have both and they each sound good in different ways. The problem is that since it was recorded in mono some of the vocal tracks that were originally recorded on a single mic had to be remixed, so like the final chorus of stereo "God Only Knows" has different vocal tracks than the original. Mono definitely doesn't sound as good with headphones/earphones, but it sounds better in the car or with quality speakers. In the case of vinyl I'd get mono, but if you can snag a CD with BOTH that would be the jackpot.
