I've never listened to this band before, but randomly saw a live video that was pretty intense. Is this where to start?

Yes, this works, but go with the remastered version.

The original version was self-produced, sounds muddy whilst the remastered gives the album the clarity it needs.

Oh yeah, it is one of those very rare instances. Compare them yourself with some tracks.

Yeah, start off w/the remaster. Incidentally enough, I started out w/the remaster then went back to the original and very briefly preferred that one but then I A-B'd them and concluded the remaster was the better sounding version.

Just got into these guys. This is so fucking awesome.

I usually listen to the remasters as a default unless people explicitly mention not to do it.

I alway thought these guys were like an industrial/black metal band from like Germany or something. Wasn't expecting some evil j-rock stuff.

“ I usually listen to the remasters as a default unless people explicitly mention not to do it.”

When I started off w/DEG, I began w/the remaster and then on some other band forum years ago I mentioned it and someone said “I hate the remaster. Listen to original.” and I did and preferred that for a time but quickly went back to the remaster and that’s been the version I listen to ever since.

Yeah, as a default I like the original over the remaster only because that’s the version I’ve listened to the most, but I’m giving the remaster its own time to get used to and grow on me.

I've heard both and definitely prefer the remaster. I heard the original first and then found the remaster later.

Got free tickets to one of their gigs and was really impressed. The singer has great range.

@Rowhaus When was that? They had a bad show in London in 2018 with serious sound problems but they're a great live band when everything works properly. I saw them after Arche in 2015.

Kyo is an incredible vocalist, I was amazed by Vinushka when I first heard it listening to this.

Vinushka is one of the greatest pieces vocal-wise I've ever heard tbh
