Spanish Bombs is so infectious and fun. Strummer had a way of delivering, seemingly, meaningless words, but it was how he sang and delivered them that said so much. And god damn that beautiful main guitar riff in that song. Wow. It just sounds so passionate and inspired. It sounds so bittersweet and nostalgic in a way.

I just don't get it. My impression of this at the moment is that if it came out today, literally nobody would care. The only songs I really enjoyed are t/t and Spanish Bombs... the rest ranged from okay to decent.
I'm sure in 2 years I'll look back on my comment and think I was an idiot.

Yeah maybe its time will come. I really just don't know what to make of this, it's not really punk and hard to find something to compare this to (that's not a bad thing though). My big issue is the songs feel a little boring and there are way too many of them.

The whole package is fucking spectacular.
Like I say though it took me years to appreciate it, I saw it as a ‘big sell’ audience grabber with no grit or bite. I was wrong.

Boo. Song is a jam. Lost in the Supermarket, London Calling, Spanish Bombs, Train in Vain, Guns of Brixton, and Rudie Can't Fail are definitely the best though.
